The Pyrenees can appear, at first glance, to be a daunting prospect for walkers but the Pyrenees are in fact very accessible, offering something for everyone, regardless of fitness, ability & experience. The Central Pyrenees of the Ariege offer an amazing mix of
beautiful landscapes, history & culture. There is just too much information to cover in one website. Therefore I have tried to design this site to gain your interest & to hopefully encourage you to find out more. About Us.
Rich was born in York, England and has lived in the Ariege for 8 years. Yvett is Hungarian and is a fluent French speaker. After 10 years living & working in Budapest, she sought a quieter life in France....
Since 2010, Yvett & Richard have built a new life together around the Leze valley, initially with a B&B in Le Fossat and now after 2 years of renovation, a new 'project', Le Courtal, set in the peace & tranquillity of the rolling Ariege hills, surrounded by oak forests, abundant wildlife, pretty villages and friendly people.
They both love very much the pace of life, the simple, fun, colourful culture & cuisine plus the opportunity to routinely explore the magnificent Pyrenees. They feel very fortunate to be able to live in the Ariege and enjoy very much to share this experience with everyone who stays in their home.

We have 2 children, so we are well versed & imaginative in entertaining the little ones outdoors!
We offer spacious, well-appointed accommodation in a beautiful woodland setting.
We love to cook....French-Hungarian dishes are our speciality.
